Goldilocks and the Three Bears playset

So I took these guys from yesterday

Put them in a box.
Goldilocks woke up to a new part of the forest with polka dotted trees and fluffy pink clouds.

The three bears met by the white picket fence.

A new playscape in a box. (all cutouts are from the old Sizzix die cuts)

Yes, it needs a house. But I think I'll make a tiny one in the back landscape by the trees.

They're hoping that Goldilocks will make some new porridge.

Today was a snow day here. The peggies and paints were out, so some new families were born.
Rafael's family

Neve's family. She gave me highlights in the back there.

Here's the whole crew. I think I need to order some new pieces. These are going fast.

Bear Woods! I'm calling soon.

Ciao,
Amanda

finger puppets

A friend challenged me to finish my finger puppet collection so that she could give it to her nephew. I like challenges like that.
Here is Mr. Hip-O!
My elephant needs a lot of work. Especially in the eye department, but I forgot I needed 5 and made this the next day when I was not in the groove. Improvements to follow.
Penguin ready to slip and fall. He's double sided.
And they are all together. You can see the lion and monkey hiding out, stepping back from the limelight for their new friends.
 And a few other friends
with hearts. ( pattern from "More Softies Only a Mother Could Love")

gnome friends

I did a little updating on my gnome friends. Here's what they used to look like.

I'm now using boiled wool suiting for the leaves and stitching with my machine. I'm using a straight stitch, but on a stretch stitch setting. It makes 3 stitches instead of one and makes it stand out more.
Instead of making the hat from felt, I'm making it from leftover sweater bits.
I love the ribbing and how it tips at the top.
Oh look, they have a new home. I actually bought the toadstool last year at the farmer's market here. It lived in Toronto with us a for a while, now it's back home.
The gnomes can sleep in the bags, use it as a rug and it can be worn around the neck.
 Good night little gnomes!
Have a good one,
Amanda
